1. Always Be My Maybe

A new romance is often exciting because it is new. What if your deepest love is in your oldest relationships? Always Be My Maybe stars Randall Park and Ali Wong as childhood friends who lose touch as teenagers but find their way back together as adults. Always Be My Maybe has a wonderful supporting cast, which also includes Daniel Dae Kim and James Saito. It is just as comforting as Mom's kimchi jaigae and just as satisfying.

2. Runaway Bride

Richard Gere and Julia Roberts are a classic '90s romcom couple. Nine years after Garry Marshall's instantly acclaimed Pretty Woman, the couple reunited as the central couple of comedy helmer's Runaway Bride. Roberts is a charming and unforgettable Maggie. Maggie is a tabloid-revered woman who has left three men at the altar. Gere is captivating as Ike, Maggie's reporter. Their mutual understanding and attraction are romantic movie gold. You can't help feeling sorry for Bob (Christopher Meloni), Maggie’s fourth fiance. His sports metaphors aren't up to par with the Gere/Roberts chemistry.

3. When We First Met

Ari Sandel's charming romantic comedy is Groundhog Day and Some Kind of Wonderful. Alexandra Daddario and Adam DeVine star as Noah, and Avery, who were best friends but couldn't find the right timing. When We First Met is funny and sweet and has a predictable end that you will love.

4. Kuch Kuch Hota Hai

When it was released in theaters in 1998, Karan Johar's debut directorial film became a Bollywood hit. Anjali (Kajol), Rahul (Shah Rukh Khan), and Anjali are college friends. Rahul falls for Tina (Rani Mukerji), and Anjali discovers her true feelings. Tina's death causes the friends to split and leave behind a daughter named Anjali, in her honor. Anjali, a young girl, grows up reading letters left by her mother and learns more about her father's first love. Tina assigns her daughter the task of finding Anjali and reuniting them as lovers once and for all. Kuch Kuch Hota Hai is Johar's greatest work, and a film that has made him synonymous with power in Hindi cinema. Khan and Kajol's chemistry is captivating throughout, from their college-teasing days in GAP to the intense sexual tension at the gazebo scene. The movie is known for its love triangle but it never shows Anjali or Tina fighting each other. Instead, it depicts a beautiful friendship between them and their relationships to Rahul. Rahul says, "Pyar Dosti Hai" - Love is friendship. Kuch Kuch hota Hai is a timeless tale about friendship.

5. Dear John

The romantic novels of Nicholas Sparks inspired many heart-warming movies. These include Dear John, A Walk To Remember, Dear John, The Last Song, The Notebook, and A Walk To Remember. Channing Tatum plays the role of John, an enlisted soldier who meets Savannah (Amanda Seyfried). They are soon deployed. They continue to write each other handwritten letters as a way to maintain their romance. Over the years, they have experienced many complications, including family illness, the September 11th attacks and separation pains. This culminated in the "Dear John" letter. But that's not the end of the story. It's not.

6. Time

This romantic comedy stars Rachel McAdams as Domhnall Greeneson. It is about a woman who falls head-over heels for a time traveler. It sounds ridiculous and maybe not very good, we know. Richard Curtis, the writer and director of this film, pulls off this absurd premise with such grace and elegance that you'll be easily lulled into believing it. Be aware, however: Take tissues. This one can be very hard on the tear ducts.

7. Get it up

What could be better than a couple of hot guys getting together for a modern, romantic comedy? Hot people putting together another group of hot people in a fun, romantic comedy. Glen Powell and Zoey deutch play the assistants of two single power players (Lucy Liu & Taye Diggs). They team up to get their bosses dating to give them a break. Of course, making two people fall in love isn't as easy as it seems, and neither is resisting the charms of your partner-in-love-crime. Set It Up is a light and cuddly movie for a date. Pete Davidson is also present for a bit.

8. The Holiday

The 2006 Nancy Meyers movie is a romantic comedy that inspires a real-life house-swap. The Holiday sees Iris (Kate Winslet), and Amanda (Cameron Diaz), make arrangements to exchange their winter holidays on a vacation house site. Iris, an Englishwoman makes arrangements to visit Amanda's Los Angeles home. Amanda then settles in Iris' cottage in England. Both women find themselves in each other's lives and meet men they would never have met -- Graham (Jude Law), book editor, and Ethan (Jack Black). This leads to both women realizing that they must first leave their home.

9. To All the Boys I Loved Before

Netflix's romcom revival began in 2018, with this film based on Jenny Han's novel. Lara Jean (Lana Condor), a hopeless romantic, is fond of writing letters to her greatest crushes. To distract attention from her true crush on her sister's boyfriend, she pretends to be dating Peter Kavinsky (Noah Centineo) after the letters are leaked. To All the Boys has a fun soundtrack to pop and a visual style that will make you the envy of everyone on your Instagram. It's a movie you'll be able to watch again and again. We will never tire of seeing fictional characters pretend love until it becomes reality. They're not as cute as these two.

10. Bright Star

Bright Star is a romantic, imaginative biopic about John Keats' final love and life. Ben Whishaw, a dreamy poet and his neighbor of high class Fanny Brawne (Abbie cornish) fall in love. They initially didn't like each other and it wasn't love at first glance. They eventually fall in love as Fanny takes an interest in Keats' beautiful poetry, and Keats discovers hidden talents within the fashionable woman. Their love inspires some of the most romantic love poems ever written. This one is a tragedy as history has shown. Bring tissues and an appreciation for modern antibiotics.
